At B6, we perform many tasks using Waterjet. This method makes it possible to cut virtually any material using a water jet with a pressure of up to 3,600 bar. This method provides precise and efficient cutting with 100% repeatability, saving both time and resources. We can cut varying sizes, thickness and complex geometries.

We can perform CNC waterjet cutting in many different materials such as foam, rubber, plastic, EPS, felt, textiles, sound films, etc. The method can be carried out in several layers at once with up to five nozzles at a time, enabling a cost-effective and flexible production method to the great benefit of the customer - whether for large or small batches and prototypes. The cutting is carried out in gaskets, packaging, acoustic panels, etc. The high cutting pressure ensures both efficient and precise cutting. Waterjet cutting is a more affordable alternative to punching, for example, as the method does not require custom-made start-up tools to perform the process. As a result, customers can expect much lower start-up costs.
Waterjet cutting uses a machine called a waterjet, which uses a high-pressure water jet to cut many different materials. A waterjet is equipped with one or more nozzles that, with a pressure of several 1000 bar, make it possible to process and cut different materials with great efficiency and precision.
Our waterjet utilizes CNC technology, which stands for Computer Numerical Control and refers to the machine's automated control systems that control the waterjet cutting process itself. This technology allows us to offer you a versatile and efficient method for cutting everything from large series to prototypes with an eye on both cost and production speed.
The Waterjet's high water column pressure, the force with which the water column hits a given material, makes it an excellent method for cutting a wide range of materials. The Waterjet is a versatile tool that can cut a wide range of materials, including foam, rubber, EPS, felt, textiles and acoustic foil.
Waterjet cutting is an efficient and precise method that offers 100% repeatability, making it excellent for mass production. The high pressure of the water jet combined with the machine's computer-controlled systems also offers a high level of cutting accuracy, making it particularly suitable for applications with high demands on precision cutting.
Furthermore, the method is suitable for cutting heat-sensitive materials. During cutting, the waterjet does not generate any heat, eliminating the risk of deformation or damage to heat-sensitive parts.
The precision and efficiency of waterjet cutting alone gives this method a number of advantages over other types of cutting. The efficiency of the waterjet is reflected in the impressive speed at which it is possible to make precise cuts in a given material. The machine is capable of cutting 20,000 mm/min without losing its razor-sharp precision.
It is possible to cut with a pressure of up to 3600 bar. The high water pressure enables the machine to cut quickly and efficiently at the same time, which can ultimately have a significant impact on overall working time and thus costs, which is of course also a benefit worth considering.
The flexibility of the waterjet is another benefit worth noting. The machine is easy to adapt to different tasks, which gives the method the advantage of being quickly adapted to a given task and material.
This flexibility makes waterjet cutting a worthy competitor to, for example, punching, which is a slower and more rigid process in the start-up period. Unlike punching, waterjet cutting doesn't require unique tools to be custom-made and tailored to a specific task, which firstly delays the process and secondly can add extra costs to the project.
Although waterjet cutting is both cost-effective and flexible compared to punching, for certain projects it is advantageous to use the latter method.
We have extensive experience using both methods, and if you are unsure which method is best suited to your upcoming project, we are of course always ready with advice and guidance.
At B6-industri, we offer professional waterjet cutting and we can accommodate several types of tasks - including gaskets, packaging and acoustic panels. The cutting can be performed in most polymer materials and the method makes it possible to cut in multiple layers with up to five nozzles at a time.
We also offer simulation to optimize design, cutting time and material consumption, so you are left with the best possible finished product - at the cheapest price.
